ep09bWith a new logo, new website and a fresh new look, Electric Picnic 2010 is finally here, taking place September 3rd, 4th & 5th September, Electric Picnic has announced the line up for this year and as usual it’s a real mixed bag. Compared to other festivals, Electric Picnic doesn’t go for the super band line up, and most people going aren’t there just for the music, it’s the atmosphere and the experience that Electric Picnic offers that’s the real pull. Still there’s some gems in there, old and new. Dying to see Massive Attack, LCD Soundsystem, and of course Roxy Music. Hot Chip are always great and regulars at the Picnic. Gil Scott-Heron will be a great gig especially if he does some of his older music, and with excellent new albums out in the past few months both Beach House and Field Music will be good sets.

There’s something for everyone here including the usual comedy and culture offerings not to mention the return of regulars like The Silent Disco, a stylesiren favourite! Tickets are on sale this Friday 26th March, make sure you get yours and get set for a perfect end to the summer. Make sure you visit the new website www.electricpicnic.ie it’s had a complete facelift.
