Summer Up Your Garden

ot-01-pictureot-01-lOn a recent trip to Wicklow I passed by the new showroom for Seabourn Chic in Kilmacanogue, a fantastic treasure trove of lovely garden furniture along with fabulous indoor colonial furniture, lamps, bedding, throws and much much more.

Not that these types of stores are anything new, but with the introduction of Ikea to our lives it’s nice to find a place where you can pick out something delightful for your home and not find it turning up in every house you visit, (Anja cushion €1.99 anyone?).

Initially it was these fantastic Moroccan style parasols that caught my eye, so many different pretty colours and prints they instantly took me back to Marrakech. On closer inspection though I found some amazing lamps and a banana weave tub chair that I have to have, custom made with cushions, also made to order from a range of luscious fabrics, it is the perfect statement piece for your living room.

seabournchic02It’s exotic but not in a fake way, and if you’re just looking for a special gift for someone there’s plenty on offer. With their current showrooms in Kilmacanogue (by the Avoca shop) and in Wicklow town you won’t regret a visit or take a look at their website for more info www.seabournchic.com, if you can get past the operatic musical intro there’s some great product photos showcasing their craft.
