Dublin Flea & Block T Xmas Market

Dublin’s biggest Christmas Market, the Dublin Flea & Block T Christmas Cracker 2011, December 10-11th.

Promising to be bigger and better, the Dublin Flea & Block T Christmas market returns this year in a new venue, Block B, Smithfield Square.

120 market stalls will be spread over Block B and Block T on Smithfield Square this December 10-11th for what’s expected to be Dublin’s biggest Crimbo market. Block T will be showcasing the best of Dublin’s affordable art with 30 local artists selling their work in addition to the 15 resident artists who have permanent studios in the building and the studios will be also open to the public for the weekend.

Block B will be made up of 90 flea market-style stalls with bric-a-brac, clothes, furniture and trinkets – expect the same eclectic mix of finds that you’d usually see at the Dublin Flea. So why not support local artists, producers and small businesses this year by picking up your pressies here rather than on Grafton Street?

There will be Christmas trees on sale outside and both locations will have food and music on offer and an area to chill out with a coffee. To give something back to the community, they’re collecting for a local Smithfield childrens charity over the weekend and there will be a Christmas tree in Block B that people are invited to leave presents under. The Generator, on Smithfield Square will be the official bar of the market, with a party on Saturday night.
