Forbidden Fruit 2012 Must See #3
Our daily picks of must-see artists for Forbidden Fruit 2012 – #3 Mmoths, Saturday 2nd June, 4.15pm, Lighthouse Stage.
One of our definite must-sees for this weekend is electronic whizz-kid Jack Colleran, otherwise known as Mmoths…
The Newbridge teenager has been making serious waves these last 12 months, with his (self-titled) debut EP launch selling out the Twisted Pepper back in March and a slew of international gigs.
His first official track Blisters grabbed the attention of Nialler9 last January and his popularity has been growing steadily online since, thanks to gems like Summer and Jimmy Francis. After being approached by SQE Music, he was signing his record deal the day he got his Leaving Cert results – makes my youth spent smoking behind bike sheds seem a bit lazy.
Colleran has a busy summer ahead of him with dates at English, European and American festivals, as well as a few here on his home turf. The tunes are slices of dreamy, synthy goodness – come see him this weekend while you still stand a chance at squeezing your way into a tent to catch him live.
Mmoths is on at 4.15pm on Saturday June 2nd on the Lighthouse Stage.
