Hot Tea Tuesday | Game of Thrones
Hot Tea Tuesday – a lil bit of eye-candy for your Tuesday lunchtime. This week, we’ve got a Game of Thrones special for your viewing pleasure.
If the return of HBO’s brilliant Game of Thrones seems very far away (two months to go), this should help pass the time until Season 2 arrives. With far too many Hot Teas in the series to focus on just one, we’ve done a roundup of our favourites. Enjoy…
Let’s start with House Stark, shall we?
House Stark – The Direwolf ‘Winter is Coming’
Jon Snow (Kit Harington)
The very pretty Kit Harington is a relative newbie to the acting world, with his role as Jon Snow being his first big break. He has since landed the lead role in Arthur & Lancelot, set for release in 2013. Looking forward to seeing much more of him when GOT returns in April.
Rob Stark (Richard Madden)
Jon Snow isn’t the only attractive Stark brother – we’re also big fans of Richard Madden as Rob Stark. Madden’s been doing very well for himself lately with roles in Channel 4′s Sirens and BBC’s period drama Birdsong, and is tipped for mainstream glory in 2012. (Eagle eyes will spot he’s pictured with Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) & Viserys (Harry Lloyd) Targaryen in the pic on the right).
Benjen Stark (Joseph Mawle)
Yup, Ned’s Nightwatch brother Benjen warrants a mention too. Joseph Mawle started his acting career in the hurling TV adverts for Guinness back in 2002 and has had roles in too many films and plays since to mention. Having also recently starred in BBC’s Birdsong, he has several projects lined up for release in 2012 including the Tim Burton produced Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter, which we’ve got high hopes for.
House Lannister – The Lion ‘Hear Me Roar’
Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau)
Danish actor, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau plays the gorgeous-but-immoral Jaime Lannister in the series – we do love a good baddie. Coster-Waldau’s charm and range as an actor have garnered him multiple roles such as Kingdom of Heaven with Orlando Bloom, Wimbledon with Kirsten Dunst and Firewall with Harrison Ford. Aside from acting, he’s also written, produced and directed films in his native Denmark.
House Greyjoy – The Kraken ‘We Do Not Sow’
Theon Greyjoy
Lily Allen’s kid brother Alfie plays a shifty Theon Greyjoy in GOT. Big roles to date have included parts in Atonement and a revival of Equus on a nationwide tour. Allen also famously dated Jaime Winstone.
Dothraki – The Horse ‘It Is Known’
Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa)
Jason Momoa is an American actor and model, who’s probably best known for being Conan in the recent Conan the Barbarian remake. Despite all the eye-makeup, he’s one of our favourite Hot Teas from Game of Thrones – all musclebound, 6ft 5in of him. He’s married to Cosby Show actress Lisa Bonnet, fact fans.
Here’s a teaser for Season 2 airing in the US on April 1st.
Hopefully, that’ll keep you going until April. If there’s a Hot Tea we should know about, email us at editor@stylesiren.ie. Michelle & Joanna for stylesiren.ie
