Santa Claus is coming to town – and he’s bringing independent streetwear with him.

Last-minute gifts don’t have to be picked up in the €2 store with the Blind Tiger Collective opening its doors for four days only on December 20th. Naughty or nice, be sure to drop in to the temporary shop in Dublin’s Little Green Street Gallery for Christmas clobber with swagrrr.

The noughties had the Celtic Tiger, and a fat lot of good that did us in the end. Now, in 2011, a group of eleven independent Irish clothing brands bring us the Blind Tiger Collective and a varied selection of tattoo-inspired hand-drawn designs, skate apparel, street art and graffiti-inspired work.

Piggybacking on the Irish Indie Xmas campaign, which is encouraging shoppers to spend €100 of their total Christmas spend in local independent businesses, Blind Tiger Collective is taking this opportunity to showcase the diversity of Irish design talent and give us mere mortals the chance to own some highly exclusive clothing and accessories. Limited print runs (some as low as 25) have been prepared for the pop-up, all coming from local designers.

The launch night on December 20th is certainly a date for your diary – Galway-based Killer Screen Print will be screen-printing a unique Blind Tiger Collective tee right before your eyes, plus there’ll be a DJ and free drinks to keep you entertained.
