Synth Eastwood Live @ The Sugar Club
Live from the launch party at The Sugar Club, Synth Eastwood’s first release, the double a-side from Ships and I Am The Cosmos.
Featuring two of the most interesting tracks from Irish acts we’ve heard this year, Ships and I Am The Cosmos’s double a-sider was launched in The Sugar Club back in May – in case you couldn’t make it on the night, here’s some live footage…
Synth Eastwood, an art/music/techie collective, embarked on their first collaborative music project earlier this year – a double a-side 7inch featuring two Dublin bands, Ships and I Am The Cosmos, with designer John Cowhie responsible for the slick artwork.
Both are cracking tracks so if the vids below float your boat, then get on over to syntheastwood.com and download the high-def mp3s.

I Am The Cosmos have been creating a distinctive brand of soulful electronic music since forming as a duo over a year ago. In that time, Ross Turner and Cian Murphy have attracted praise from notable national publications, as well as further afield in the form of the BBC’s Across The Line radio show and the UK music blog 20JazzFunkGreats. You can catch em live, supporting Lindstrøm in the Button Factory on August 18th.

Ships are Simon Cullen and Sorca McGrath. The two met a few years back and after an extended period of hanging out, they finally got around to making some music – and lovely electro/disco music it is too. You can catch them live in The Little Big Tent at this year’s Electric Picnic.
Berlin-based Greystones export Mark Flynn, AKA The Drifter, has also remixed the Ships track – you can download it for free here.
All footage was collected by Albert Hooi, Peter Martin & Synth Eastwood. All footage was edited by Synth Eastwood.
