The Bear is coming to Dublin

Jo’Burger, Crackbird & Skinflint have a new sibling… Dublin’s newest eatery – Bear – opens this month on South William Street.

First we had Jo’Burger, then Crackbird and Skinflint, now it would seem Dublin restaurant alchemist, Joe Macken, is at it again with a new spot, Bear.

Update – Bear Opens today, Friday February 17th, CLICK HERE for the full menu.

Bear, which will be located at 35 South William Street, Dublin 2, is a joint venture between Joe Macken and Irish Rugby International, Jamie Heaslip and is expected within the next fortnight. It’s all very ssshhh secret squirrel right now, no pictures or logos or menus, so we’re going with the facts as we know them…

(L-R) Joe Macken – Jamie Heaslip – A Bear

The concept for Bear is a fresh take on the traditional grill restaurant. Based on sustainable butchery, it will specialise in offering less common cuts of meat such as skirt steak, rump, bavette and feather steak, together with a range of sides.

Plus being no stranger to social media innovations, Bear will make the most of Twitter and offer a monthly prize of a meal hosted by Jamie. Not bad, Bear, not bad.

Be sure to follow @BearDublin for full details as they’re revealed.
