Get set for an extended festival season this year with the debut of the Valentia Isle Festival. Music, magic and a little bit of matchmaking fun thrown in.

It’s no secret that here at Stylesiren we fly the festival flag high every summer, in particular we love boutique festivals for the more relaxed vibe and the chance to discover new music. So we’re all excited that festival season has officially extended into September this year with the debut of the Valentia Isle Festival.

The very picturesque Valentia Island, off the coast of Southwest Kerry, is set to host its debut boutique music festival on 14^th-16^th September 2012. Featuring music, local crafts and art installations, artisan food, holistic therapy and the opportunity for some matchmaking and mingling.

This inaugural 3 day festival will see some Irish and International music greats perform across 3 stages. Acts include The Rubber Bandits, Jerry Fish, Donal Dineen & Guests, The Frank & Walters, This Club, Tieranniesaur, FRED, Daniel Martin Moore, The Young Folk, Toby Kaar, DJ Kormac & Ham Sandwich and many more.

Co-Funded by the Rural Development Fund, early bird day tickets for this unique event go on sale today, Wednesday July 11^th at 9am and are priced at €30.00. Weekend early bird tickets will be on sale until July 21st and are priced at €50.00 (€60 with camping)

Valentia Isle Festival is Europe’s only “music and mingling” festival thanks to Ireland’s modern matchmaker Avril Mulcahy a.k.a Miss Singlelista. Avril will be offering any single festival goers who feel like mingling the chance to take part in her power flirting workshops and dating activities across the weekend.

The festival site will also host an array of other tempting treats in the form of artisan food village, cocktail bar, holistic therapies, and local crafts and art installations.

Aside from the festival itself, organisers encourage visitors to experience the other activities that this incredible island has to offer while they are here. Extra activities include a boat trip to Skelligs, canoeing, cycling, surfing and panoramic walks, visiting the tetrapods. Festival goers who feel like a little more physical exertion over the weekend than throwing shapes on the dance floor can sign up for the Valentia Island Half Marathon that takes place on Saturday 15^th September and features breath-taking views of the island and its stunning surrounds.
