Watchlist | Clock Opera Live
A must see – Clock Opera will shortly be returning to our shores for a gig in the Academy 2 in Dublin and another in Cyprus Avenue, Cork.
We’re terribly excited about this gig – London four-piece Clock Opera play the Academy 2 this December 2nd…
Our love affair with Clock Opera began much earlier this year while researching acts appearing at Castlepalooza. And after listening to the likes of the gorgeous ‘Belongings’ and the brilliant ‘Piece of string’, we were seriously smitten-kittens.
Made up of Guy Connelly, Andy West, Che Albrighton and Dan Armstrong, they’re a band that are hard to define exactly. Describing themselves as “melodramatic pop” or “chop pop”, their music is an eclectic mashup of styles, quite unlike any other act currently out there. The band combine laptop programming and traditional pop instruments to produce a sound that’s highly polished and amazingly euphoric in places, with captivating videos to boot.
Their live set at Castlepalooza was one of the highlights of the whole weekend so catching them in a small(ish) venue like The Academy 2 should be an experience not to be missed. We highly recommend you give em a listen…
